Endodontic Retreatment

Sometimes, a tooth may not heal as expected after initial root canal therapy. During the retreatment procedure, the endodontist reopens your tooth to gain access to the root canal filling material. After removing this material and cleaning the canals, the endodontist will then refill and seal the canals. After retreatment, you will return to your general dentist for final restoration of the tooth.
